So the Dell tech turns up. He’s to replace the MoBo and the dead RAM. He does his ting and wanders off. Hmm, the server has only 1GB of RAM in, not 2. Turns out Dell tech replaced the good RAM, not the bad. He’s due back at the colo any time now… Update… no…

Bah. Faulty RAM it was, but… well it appears to have become faulty due to a borked PSU witch looks to have zapped the RAM and maybe the MoBo. Nice Dell techie should be replacing ws4’s MoBo and RAM later today. Fingers crossed. Rather annoyingly though ws1 is now playing up. Corruption of the swap…
