Catch Up

Last weekend I went XC riding over at Afan Forest Park. Parked up at Afan and rode along the old rail path to the start of Whites Level. Whites is a newly build trail that is mostly technical singletrack, starting off with a 6km climb and ending in what the reviews all say is an amazing downhill. The climb up wasn’t to bad I was surprised to discover (though by no means easy!). It did seem to go on for a while at the top, but once the ride down started it was pretty cool. After the fireroad section the swoopy singletrack was excellent fun to ride and, whilst not the most amazing downhill ever, the final section was pretty damn fun, especially for an XC downhill. I guess I’m spoiled for DH riding proper courses most weekends!

No news on the new XC frame. Its been two weeks since I ordered the Heckler and they did say 3 to 6… patience was never a strong point of mine.

Omega and Justine (Frank and Bunny) were both in town this week and it was nice to see them both. Omega and I headed out to Moles on Wednesday to meet up with and Nat and at Resurection. I’d not been before and had a good time despite my inability to dance 😉

pitched up in Bath on Thursday and thus I was summoned (oh its a hard life!) to the pub. then stopped by last night to drop off an E4k at ‘s place and we ate pizza and played ‘s PS2 (I got my sorry ass kicked). Korpora also told me about a rather cool “hack” for my iBook which I’ll post about later 🙂

Right, I shall continue to watch a cute 17 year old Russian run around a tennis court…
